Lesson 7: Relax in Nature

Contestants often de-stress outside by the pool.

The lesson here is not only about relaxing in general but specifically about spending time in nature, which is very helpful in times of stress.

These days, I’m finding so much comfort in nature. The birds are still singing and plants are still growing. My walking and hiking paths are still there, and mostly accessible if I use them cautiously. The moon still rises each night and the stars are still out there.

This connection to nature is essential to our wellness and can be a great source of support when so much in our lives feels unsteady.

Action Item: Spend a few minutes each day relaxing outside, doing nothing but noticing what you see, hear, feel, and notice around you.
